I find Sundays slowly becoming my favourite day of the week. When I was younger I always looked forward to Saturday, Saturday to me was the best day, that’s the day you get to go out for the day, it’s the weekend it’s party night. But now with the terror and our family it’s all about our Sundays.
This Sunday we spent the day with Toms sister and her little family, Matt her husband Baby Zach and not forgetting there beagle Oakley (Baileys best friend)
With the weather set to go bad we decided on a dog walk utilising our new national trust memberships and went to Lytes Cary Manor near Somerton. This is a beautiful manor house set among beautiful grounds and gardens. They have three walks mapped out with arrows dotted around the grounds, we chose the red walk which took us roughly 45 minutes to an hour and the majority of it was pushchair friendly even whilst going through the fields so this was a major plus for us especially having 2 under 2s with us. Our stroller wasn’t the easiest of things to push however Tiff and Matts Vennici pushchair was an absolute dream Zach barely knew we came off the pavement.
After our walk we dropped the dogs home and met up at the Great Lyde Pub in Yeovil, I have never considered going in this pub before due to its terrible reputation but since changing hands we decided to give it a go and had the carvery. It was a great xarvery and very reasonably priced! The kids got a full carvery at £2.50 and clearly Lincoln was starving as he cleared the plate! Tom however was gutted as he usually relys on Lincoln for seconds.
Even with the clouds rolling in we stopped in the local park and had great fun playing on the slide with Lincoln and Zach, the boys absolutely love one another’s company and will hopefully grow up to be mischief makers together.
Family time is what makes Sundays the best days.
What do you do on your Sundays?
